Title: The Drawing Lesson
Author: Mark Crilley
Number of pages: 137
Target Age: 8-88 (pretty much any age)
Genre – I don’t really know….
This book is a whole bunch of drawing lessons, rolled into a graphic novel. The Drawing Lesson by Mark Crilley is about a young boy named David.
When David meets Becky, an artist, in the park, he makes it a goal to get her to give him drawing lessons.
Becky teaches David about many different things, such as shading, shadows, beginning with a loose sketch, etc.
This was an amazing book! It was full of drawing lessons, it was funny, and it was pretty easy to follow along with.
I would recommend this book to a lot of people, and it was really good. There where only like, four of five characters in the whole book and you only know the names of two of them (David and Becky) the rest of the characters are just people you would see here and there (a security guard, a little boy, etc.) but overall, I love this book.
